Replacing a Lost Nevada Driver’s License
If you have lost your Nevada driver’s license, or if it has been stolen or damaged, the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has made it fairly easy to obtain a duplicate driver license or ID card.

REAL IDs and License Replacements
If you plan to upgrade to a NV REAL ID upon replacement, you’ll need to do so in person and follow the steps for a first-time REAL ID application. Jump over to our license guide for help.
The first thing you may want to do after losing your Nevada driver’s license is to report it to the NV DMV and to local authorities. This can help prevent identity theft and other related fraudulent activities.
You can request a duplicate Nevada driver’s license:
*Online through the NV DMV website.
*In person at a:
*DMV kiosk. OR
*DMV office.
NOTE: Replacing a NV motorcycle license follows this same process.Online License Replacement
You can get a replacement Nevada driver’s license online IF:
*You do NOT have a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
*Your license is valid (has not been suspended or revoked).
*Your address hasn’t changed.
*Your license will not expire in the next 60 days.
To renew and replace your driver’s license online, use the Nevada DMV Online Request for Duplicate. You will need:
*Your date of birth.
*Your Social Security number (SSN).
*A credit card to pay the license fee of $18.25.
You will receive your duplicate Nevada driver’s license by mail.In-Person License Replacement
You can request a replacement driver’s license in person at a Nevada DMV kiosk or DMV office.
DMV kiosks are found in a variety of public locations in Nevada. To use a kiosk, you must have:
*A non-commercial driver’s license.
*It must not expire in the next 60 days.
*The same address you had when your license was last renewed or issued.
*Cash, a check, or a debit or credit card to pay the $18.25 license fee, plus a $1 processing fee.
If you are ineligible for online or kiosk orders, you can go in person to a Nevada DMV office to order a duplicate driver’s license. You will need to provide your SSN and date of birth, as well as payment for the $18.25 fee.
Getting your Real ID license can be done at any time and MUST be done in person, so if you decide that you would like to get yours, you must bring proof of your:
*Identity.
*Name change (if you have ever changed your name).
*Social Security number.
*Nevada residential address (multiple documents).
You will also need to bring either an Application for Driving Privileges or ID Card.
The Nevada DMV website has a full list of acceptable documents to bring in for each requirement—just make sure that each document is a valid original and NOT a photocopy.Replace a License While Out of State
If you’re temporarily outside of Nevada or out of the country and have lost your driver’s license, you may order a replacement license. Contact the NV DMV for details. Fees to Replace a NV Driver’s License
Replacement driver’s licenses in Nevada will cost you $18.25.
If you order a replacement online, you will also need to pay an additional $1 processing fee.
NV DMV offices accept payment by:

As instructed by the Governor, DETR’s Employment Security Division, has waived work search requirements beginning 03/15/20 for all claimants in acknowledgment of the unavailability of unsuitable work resulting from the Covid19 public health crisis temporary shutdown of non-essential businesses.
Additionally, claimants will not be required to register for employment services in-person at Nevada JobConnect Offices or any other local employment offices within their area until these offices have reopened. Out of state claimants will not be required to register for employment services in their state until further notice. (NRS 612.375, NAC 612.170).May-02-2020Suspend Waiting Period

This program provides unemployment insurance benefits support for otherwise ineligible workers, including self-employed. PUA is available retroactively from February 2, 2020 through December 26, 2020 and provides up to 39 weeks of benefits to qualifying individuals who do not qualify for regular unemployment insurance (UI), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) or State Extended Benefits (SEB) but are otherwise able to work and available for work except they are unemployed, partially unemployed, or unable or unavailable to work due to a COVID-19 related reason. Benefits are payable for weeks you were previously out of work, even if you have since returned to work.

This program provides an additional 13 weeks of regular unemployment insurance benefits for eligible claimants whose claims have been exhausted (i.e., all eligible unemployment insurance funds have been paid out).

This program provides an additional $600 to each week of regular unemployment insurance benefits or to the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program weekly insurance benefits (PUA) for otherwise ineligible workers (see next paragraph for further details). FPUC benefits to eligible claimants will be paid for the period starting the week ending April 4, 2020 thru the week ending July 25, 2020 for a total potential of 17 weeks, based on each claimants’ eligibility.
